RON HUNTER

Ron Hunter, born November 15, 1944, is a native of Anderson County, South Carolina and a graduate of Clemson University.  Ron grew up attending a Methodist church and was saved at an early age of nine years old.  Later, he joined the Baptist Church with his wife, Linda, and served in different capacities in the church for many years.  While living in Barnwell, S. C. and serving as President of the Barnwell Production Credit Association, God graciously baptized him in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. In 1979, God called Ron into the ministry and gave him an anointing to preach the Word with signs following.

Ron answered the call of God by leaving the business world to pastor a Full Gospel church in Hampton, S.C., Higher Ground Christian Fellowship.  While pastoring the church for two and one-half years, God continued to prepare and train Ron for something more in His Kingdom.  In the fall of 1981, God began to move him into an independent ministry known as Spoken Word Outreach Ministries or Ron Hunter Ministries.

Spoken Word Outreach Ministries consists of a Bible Church and Training Center.  There is a Christian School (Agape Christian Academy) and a Correspondence Bible School.  Ron has traveled and ministered in the United States and in sixteen other countries.  He currently has invitations to three other countries. His main calling is to help bring the Body of christ into maturity and to teach and train ministers.
